Stacey Blades

Let It Rawk (Ex-L.A. Guns)

In the late 1970's, waiting under a Christmas tree for a young Blades was a little acoustic guitar, and having already studied piano for years the young Canadian was about to find his musical destiny. After taking proper guitar lessons for three years, he bought his first electric guitar. Stacey spent hours copying classic rock riffs from bands like Aerosmith, Ozzy, Van Halen and Rush. When the first wave of L.A. Metal hit the 80's, Stacey became an obsessed metalhead adding influences from the Sunset Strip.
The Canadian music scene was limiting to a man with a guitar and big aspirations, so when Roxx Gang put an ad in Metal Edge Magazine for a new lead guitarist, Stacey knew he had a shot. After nailing the audition and relocating to Florida, he officially joined the band in 1992. He stayed with Roxx Gang for eight years, four albums, three videos and one greatest hits album.
Stacey started the new millennium with a new home in Los Angeles. He played around locally before joining L.A. Guns in 2003. For a decade, Stacey immersed himself in the band becoming a greater asset with every album and every tour. From the amazing TALES FROM THE STRIP to 2012's critically acclaimed HOLLYWOOD FOREVER, Stacey showcased his well-honed brand of guitar playing and songwriting.

With L.A. Guns, Stacey has shared the bill with Alice Cooper, Whitesnake, Scorpions, Cinderella, Dokken, Skid Row and Warrant to name a few. He's been around the world and on the bill on many prestigious music festivals including M3 (of which a live DVD of the show was released in January 2013). Stacey has also been in every music magazine including Rolling Stone, Spin, Metal Edge, and Premier Guitar, to name a few.

In April of 2009, Stacey wrote and published a very revealing and often humorous autobiography "Snake Eyes". The book received high marks from fans all over the globe. That same year Blades also released his first solo instrumental guitar album called "Symphonic Slam" It is a remarkable collection of rocked out classical numbers by Strauss, Bach, Beethoven, Handel, and more.

At the end of 2012, Stacey decided to leave L.A. Guns to pursue more personal opportunities for performing and songwriting. He is currently working, designing and writing guitar loop packages for various companies. Stacey was also the last artist to work with the legendary producer Andy Johns before his untimely death in April of 2013.
In January 2014,Stacey debuted his new 80's metal all star metal revue called LET IT RAWK with members of Stryper, Cinderella, Black N Blue and Ace Frehley's band.
